Brides Live Wedding – Time for the Honeymoon!

April 11, 2013

The flower petals have been spread, the “I do’s” exclaimed, rings exchanged, and Briana and Jason are off on their Relaxing Retreat in the Cayman Islands. The wedding on Sunday was picture perfect. Did you catch them tying the not? If you missed it – or if you just want to replay the scene – you can catch it again here on Brides.com.

We loved working with Brides Magazine over these last few months, and are thrilled to have been a part of this great program. We’re sad to see it over,  but are so happy to have seen it such a success. If you want to catch up on all the details voted for by you, you can still catch them on our Facebook app here. Thanks again to Brides, Zuckerberg MediaLiveStream, and all the program sponsors, for being great collaborators on this project.

Congrats and Happy Honeymoon-ing to Briana and Jason!

Brides Live Wedding this Sunday!

April 5, 2013

The countdown is on! The dress has been chosen, the bouquet selected, and the honeymoon tickets booked. We can’t wait to see it all in action this Sunday. Tune in at 7PM EST to watch Briana and Jason say “I do” live. We know we’ll be watching!

Teen Vogue Insider Web App

February 7, 2013

We’re delighted to announce yet another collaboration with Teen Vogue. Last year we partnered with them to create the Teen Vogue Insider App. It received stellar reviews from users and critics alike, so naturally we were thrilled when they asked us to design and develop a web app version. The new web application – which launched just last week – replicates all of the features and functionality of the mobile app version, and is accessible from any browser anywhere. Now you can collect your “entries” for a chance to win one of TV’s exciting and plentiful sweepstakes from any device with an internet connection. So visit m.teenvogueinsider.com, browse Teen Vogue “shops” nearby, flip through recent magazine issues for new features, and register to win cool prizes. Try it out!

Presenting the Brides Live Wedding Facebook App!

January 8, 2013

These last few months have been busy ones over here at FOUR32C. We’ve been working hard on many exciting projects, including a collaboration with Brides magazine to design, develop, and promote their live Facebook wedding app. Brides Live Wedding is the first of its kind; a program to produce an interactive, fully sponsored, and crowd-sourced wedding. Couples register to win the wedding of dreams, in which the details – the dress, the flowers, the ring, even the couple – are chosen by you! The lucky pair will be married in a lavish affair at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach, with features sponsored by David’s Bridal, Simon G. Jewelry, Bel Air Bridal, and more. (Not to mention a spectacular honeymoon in the Cayman Islands!) We’ve been thrilled to be a part of this project from the beginning and cannot wait for the wedding to air live on April 7th. And if you happen to be preparing for that special date yourself, hurry up and sign up to win the wedding of your dreams. Registration ends tomorrow! Otherwise, get out there and cast your vote!

Ready for Back to School Saturday

August 8, 2012

Christmas, Black Friday, Cyber Monday. The retail calendar is loaded with shopping events. But the biggest—and undoubtedly the most important—retail season, back-to-school, has gone without an event, dispersed from June through September.

No longer. Teen Vogue has declared this Saturday, August 11 Back to School Saturday. Dozens of partners like American Eagle, American Apparel, and other retailers without American in their names are offering up sweet discounts and free swag all across the country.

We’re proud that our Teen Vogue Insider app is the compass for shoppers this Saturday. It ties the print edition, the shopping event and the deals offered by partners around a single anchor. We think it’ll be a fun way for girls to explore the Teen Vogue world in their hometowns, and to perfect their back to school looks while they’re at it.

Download the app here.

Introducing the Teen Vogue Insider App

July 4, 2012

All systems go! We just let the Teen Vogue Insider app into the likely-manicured hands of tasteful, iPhone-toting girls everywhere. We made it to bring the magazine to life in fun, interactive ways. But we still needed to introduce readers to their new digital playground.

We know these girls deserve better than a dull app tutorial, so we decided to have some fun. Our solution was to make a one-minute spot that portrays the world surrounding the app and shows the app’s key features inside that world.

We collaborated with (awesome) artist Jessica Findley, who’s created distinctive illustrations for brands like Paul Frank, Moleskine, and the New York Times. The video blends on-brand photography and detailed product shots with her quirky, hand-drawn type and illustrations to evoke Teen Vogue’s personality and vibe, but still lets the product shine through.

We think it makes for a fun sixty seconds. Enjoy!

Vera Wang on Weddings is App of the Week!

Apple has just selected Vera Wang on Weddings as the iPad App of the Week!

The Vera Wang on Weddings App

February 15, 2012

The app you’ve been waiting for is finally here!

Vera Wang on Weddings is now available in the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Groundbreaking in its design and content, the app leads brides through the wedding design process, taking the bride through the full creative process of organizing a wedding—from inspiration to research to planning—and provides solutions for all the challenges of executing the big event.

This was an ideal project for us, given our roots in fashion and lifestyle publishing, and in collaboration with a creative, adventurous client who was also fun to work with. We started our journey together with a discovery process that included extensive user and competitive research, then moved into the design and build phases including IA, product design, UX, and app development for both the iPad and the iPhone. As part of the project, we built some cool functionality, including inspiration boards, a customized calendar to-do list, and robust tools to track and store guest, vendor, and bridal party info and share inspiration and decision-making with groups throughout the planning cycle. These tools work seamlessly with the native iOS and iCal functionality.

Check out the app soon—it’s free for a few weeks, but soon will cost $9.99 (and worth every penny if we do say so ourselves). If you do use the app please do let us know what you think.

For more on our engagement with Vera Wang and the creation process, see our Case Study.
For more on Vera Wang and to get a feel for the app (if you’re not yet tethered to an iPad or iPhone), visit the information pages on her site.

“I would like a bride to take this app as a suggestion, as encouragement to find out who she really wants to be and how she wants to get married. And I hope that what I do, with everything I create, makes that job just a little more pleasurable and a little bit easier for the bride.” —Vera Wang
